sparkle1.jpgEven though it had a fiery and explosive beginning, Lake Taupo is beautiful and every day it has it's own moods.  It is a special place.  From glassy smooth to white capped fury, from bright sun to cloudy day, the lake envokes peace, power, serenity and beauty.  The sunrises and sunsets are often awesome and comparable to anything the rest of the world has to offer.

In the summer, swim, go fishing on the lake or in the rivers, laze about in the sun, go walking by the lake, go boating, go sailing, picnic, tramp or hike in the mountains and forest parks, play golf, go shopping, visit all the touristy things - or do nothing.

In the winter, go skiing, go fishing if you're brave, swim in the hot pools, go shopping in Taupo - or do nothing.  Curl up with a good book or write a book, drink tea or coffee or sip on a fine wine.
